Sorry, but I am American, but I think that Japanese anime movies have quite a few features which people around the world can admire. And the most remarkable one of them is that they are not the simple and stale "justice-versus-evil" tale.

The story, especially that about battle and conflict, often shows us that each fighting side has his own justice, and one person can have justice and evil at the same time. These profound stories have taught world's youths (of course, youths in Japan) that the real world is not so simple as childish fairy tales, I believed.

Hence, I am pretty shocked to see Japanese people easily convinced that Russia is absolutely evil while the West is justice. As for killing Ukrainians, Putin may have as much justice as Bush Jr. had in massacring Afghans and Iraqis.
The very same things are true of issues between Japan and China (or Korea). Japanese people quite rarely consider whether what China claims might be (at least, partly) right.
